August...

It is still bizarre to me to think that as we approach the end of August here in NZ, it is almost the end of winter. Weird. Regardless, there hasn't been much excitement here until last week. You see, in the last 2 weeks we have lost 3 teeth. Aidan has lost her two front teeth and looks like a hockey player from the 70's. Merrett lost an incisor. Well, she didn't lose it so much as tear it forcefully from her head with her bare hands because it had become loose and was "annoying". Aidan also pulled one of her teeth on her own, albeit with less blood. Apparently, the girls are totally badass.

Aside from that, Koreen is off to the Netherlands for 10 days beginning next week, to attend a conference. I am back teaching today to fill in for a temporarily absent prof. Aren't we just a thrill a minute couple?

When I came to NZ I had decided that I was going to try different things. Last summer was surfing, this summer will be SCUBA. My lessons begin in October, so I will be sure to post an update then,
